BlackBerry Reportedly Considering Turning BBM Into Spinoff Subsidiary, Which Explains Cross-Platform Launch

Lawd I knew this was going to happen soon or later. Blackberry is on its way out. Its hard to believe that its all coming to a end.

In a move that should surprise exactly no one, BlackBerry is said to be thinking about spinning off BBM into its own subsidiary company called BBM Inc., says the Wall Street Journal. As BlackBerry faces the prospect of potentially having to part out its more valuable assets for sale, BBM is a natural opportunity that comes to mind, and the recent decision to take the messaging platform to both iOS and Android makes a lot more sense once you consider that a means of fluffing the brand prior to a potential sale.

It saddens me to see this unfold on national tv, but I tell people all the time you can't do a lot of bad things and then treat people like they don't matter.  Teresa Giudice, 41, and her husband, Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice, 43, were accused of exaggerating their income while applying for loans before their TV show debuted in 2009 — then hiding how well they were doing in a bankruptcy filing after their first season aired.

The combustible couple, who live in Montville Township, were charged in a 39-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. Each faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
“Everyone has an obligation to tell the truth when dealing with the courts, paying their taxes and applying for loans or mortgages,” U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said. “That's reality."
