SWV: Premieres January 16, 2014

We announced the coming of the SWV reality show this past summer and even posted a short clip of what we can expect from the new WE Tv series. And now, as the January 23rd air date of the new reality series is fast approaching, we’re here with a more extended version of what you can expect from the show. And though Coko said she and her group mates were too old to follow the messy yet successful reality tv formula, this clip shows us that while folks might not be throwing drinks and fighting, the show certainly won’t be without its dramatic moments.
In this new extended first look, we watch as the women try to make a comeback, though they haven’t dealt with all the issues that broke the group up in the first place. There are light moments when Leanne “Lelee” badgers Coko with setting her up with the wrong men and other times when it gets heavy as one of the women deals with breast cancer. Also, there’s some tension between Coko and Taj and some shady music industry madness going on as well.
All in all it looks like it will make for a good show. Check out the trailer in the video below.

Chile now this should really be a good series. We have watched these sisters with voices grow and now they are ready to tell the world the real story on why they broke up.
SWV seemed unstoppable back in the 90's with over 15 million albums sold (not many can say that). And those the songs we knew EVERY single word to like “I’m So Into You,” “Right Here,” “Downtown,” and “Weak,”  But while they seemed to have it all, the drama behind the scenes tore the group apart.  And apparently, ish ended badly.
So after going their separate ways in 1998, Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” George are now back.  After marriages, children, divorces (our fingers are crossed about whether Taj & Eddie George will show their shady alleged cheating drama ), the strong New York ladies are back to reclaim the fame.
In the premiere episode, we see the first stop of the comeback tour at Wembley Stadium in London.  But new secrets about Coko’s health threatens the rehabilitated bond of the group. And the group is learning how to be together both on stage and off again. Which means, the inevitable girl group drama surfaces.
