The
ink is still fresh on Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s divorce
documents after Khloe filed to end their four-year-marriage at the end
of last week. Wait a minute at least it lasted longer than we thought it was going to last. But that doesn’t mean that a young, successful gal like
Khloe is staying in and mourning the end of her relationship. According to reports, Kim’s younger sis is already moving on with handsome L.A. Dodgers player Matt Kemp. Hunnie Khloe is clearly after that baseball money and a Big Brown Man to give her the business she will need to take her mind off that drug addict Lamar.
But who is this 29-year-old MLB stud? Let’s find out a little more about the potential new Kardashian arm candy:
1. He used to date Rihanna.
The baseball star is no stranger to dating high-profile starlets — he
dated pop sensation Rihanna in 2009. Matt was Rihanna’s first
relationship following her break-up with Chris Brown after he infamously
attacked her on the night of the 2009 Grammys. The “Diamonds” singer opened up about
her relationship with Matt to Marie Claire UK in 2010: “I feel like I
smile for real this time. The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in
everything I do. People feel my energy is different.” But all good
things come to an end, as the two split amicably later that year due to
distance.
2. He has a tumultuous history with his ex.
While Matt may have been Rihanna’s saving grace after Breezy, he had
his own domestic drama with another ex. Court documents were released
to RadarOnline.com detailing
a restraining order filed against Matt by his former girlfriend,
Felisha Terrell. Though Felisha initially claimed she endured “verbal
abuse and threats” after the two split, she soon dropped the charges.
Matt’s rep later stated that that “they both have moved on separately
but remain amicable.”
3. His nickname is “The Bison.”
Matt earned his nickname, “The Bison,” from his large build and
surprising speed on the field. The 6-foot-4 and 225-pound outfielder
first was dubbed this by Atlanta Braves television announcer Don Sutton,
who said he looked "like a big buffalo running around the bases."
“Buffalo” was later lovingly changed to “bison” by fans.
4. He loves fashion.
Followers of Matt’s Instagram will
note that the athlete loves to post pics of his trendy style, including
quite a shoe collection. His trademark look — plus those stunning baby
blues! — has landed him in more than one fashion mag, from Esquire to a recent cover of Haute Living.
5. He’s known for being philanthropic.
Matt has been actively involved in a variety of charities over the
years, including his own “Kemp’s Kids” which hosts L.A.-area children —
many from the Boys &Girls Club — during Dodgers games. A true
Midwestern boy at heart, the native Oklahoman pledged $1K to his hometown for each home run leading up to the All Star break, following the devastating tornados of spring 2013.
Well we will see if they will make it past the three month period.
